Pinterest has dominated the social sphere this year but has somewhat been out-shadowed by all the action with Facebook. Gaining most of it's popularity in 2011, Pinterest's users are more than half women right now. Did you know that those same women are TWO TIMES more likely to buy your products than other social channels? Major brands have jumped on board but a lot haven't just yet. It might be time to think about how you can add Pinterest to your business.
I personally enjoy logging in from time to time as well as sharing some useful Media Infographics. However, there are 3 short comings that I would love to see them fix.
1: Ability to Create Lists: Information overload is really the key here. Just like Twitter was when it first came out. Now Twitter offers lists for you to add some sort of method to the madness.
2: Suggested Followers: We live in a world of curated info. Instead of following my Facebook followers, it would nice to have a "suggested" connection section based off of my interests.
3: Internal Advanced Analytics: Yes, there are 3rd party options such as Pinerly but having it all in one place would cut down on having to login to another service.
Pinterest is a great tool for marketers and I see nothing but growth in the years to come. Im sure that these pain points are being worked on by the Pinterest crew as well. If you haven't joined yet, join.
