Search Engines and Now the Most Trusted Media Type

According to Edelman's Trust Barometer, Search Engines are trusted more now more than Traditional, Social and Owned Media for people engaging in general news and information. If you're a business that has a fund of monies and you're wondering what to do with it on the marketing front, invest in making sure you're gaining TRUST on Google among the people looking for your business and your current customers.

I'm not saying to put all of your eggs in one basket because I'm the first to tell you that a diverse, multi-channel marketing plan is the best (as long as there's a strategy and tracking involved). But you need to be aware of how your online branded terms and non branded terms are being perceived by the people who pay your bills.
